Crunch.co.uk Meets Chris Evans On Radio 2?s Drivetime Show

Crunch.co.uk Meets Chris Evans On Radio 2?s Drivetime Show
Published 6th Jul 2009 by Zara Kreimeia

Crunch.co.uk, the UK’s first combined online accounting system and accounting practice dedicated to freelancers, contractors and independent consultants, featured on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Drivetime show on Monday 29 June.

Business presenter Foxy, aka Rebecca Pike interviewed MD Darren Fell about the launch of Crunch.co.uk and how freelancing has surged in the UK this year due to economic uncertainty. Fell covered how Crunch.co.uk is helping users to manage their entire accounts, invoicing, expenses and returns on a secure and user-friendly website - with the benefit of having an accountant at the end of the phone - for a fair price. The service costs £59.50 per month.

The interview slot looks at innovations in business. Over 13 million listeners tune into Radio 2 each day.

“The response we’ve had since the show aired has been amazing,” said Darren Fell, MD of Crunch.co.uk. “The website has since seen a 700% increase in visits and so many people have got in touch with stories of their accountants costing them a fortune, not justifying additional charges and not providing much in the way of help or value. For the first time we are offering freelancers a new, online, time saving and cost-effective way to do their accounting and all returns for a fixed price, with the ability to also speak to our range of accountants with any queries.”

Fell is an award-winning online entrepreneur. He appears in this year’s ‘Courvoisier The Future 500 in association with The Observer’; a league table of the UK’s most talented business people and was also named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Sussex Business Awards 07/08.

Brighton-based Crunch.co.uk is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
