Double timewarp: We can put up with 1970 and 80s Musak style Italian cheesy pop for more than two hours but the wait for the food and unattentive service are inexcusable. After 50 minutes and almost an entire bottle of wine the bread basket still hadn't arrived. When I asked for it it was plonked on the table without a hint of an excuse. 1hour 10 minutes in the starter finally arrives: nicely presented but it tasted as if some of the ingredients were missing. Grilled sardines without a drizzle of olive oil and a wedge of lemon are just a bit bland. 45 minute later our pizza arrived. On my partner's pizza we counted 3 slices of pepperoni sausage for which we were charged 75 pence. Once we had finished the main meal we went straight to the counter to pay. We didn't want to risk asking for a dessert or a coffee...we might still be there now! A very disappointing and frustrating evening. They are obviously under-staffed as everybody there seemed to be working very hard (although we did have to ask twice for a jug of water).

To be avoided, unless you have bags of time and can put up with lacklustre service!

Night Out

I will definatly be going again as the food was absolutley gorgeous...The waiter didnt really have a clue what he was doing but that makes it all the fun .. 10/10 for the food though ... mmmmmmagnifico x

I went to this restaurant, which many people have described as the finest Italian restaurant in Cardiff, with a party of 16. The food was fine, but the service was appalling. We booked for 12, but 4 extra people turned up, so we had to spill over onto another table. The manager made a major fuss about this, and was not very polite. I do not exaggerate when I say the food took over 2 hours to arrive!!!! Table was booked for 7pm, food was ordered about 7.15, and arrived around 9.30, during which time the staff consistently brought people the wrong drinks, or forgot to bring them altogether. No bread was bought to the table, and no jugs of water, despite both being requested.

Quite a few of our party knew the restaurant, and were genuinely surprised about how bad the service was. I certainly will not go there again, nor recommend it to anyone else.
